Curriculum

The program’s Compulsory courses:

Molecular cancer biology、Clinical oncology and translational medicine、Advanced pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry、Advanced topics on traditional Chinese medicine、Advanced natural product chemistry、Advanced organic chemistry、Advanced instrumental analysis、Herb and drug interaction、Molecules and medicine (Molecular medicine and drug discovery)、System biology、Advanced nanotechnology、Special topics on anti-cancer drug discovery, etc.

  1. The curriculum within the program is aimed at promoting research of traditional Chinese medicinal prescription and herbs to achieve the world class standards through the close cooperation between the CMU and Academia Sinica.
  2. In order to fulfill the main goal of this program, discovery of new anti-cancer drug, the compulsory course of the Ph.D. program will include the following courses: Molecular Cancer Biology,  Clinical oncology and translation medicine, Advanced topics on traditional Chinese medicine theory, Molecules and medicine (Molecular medicine and drug discovery)
  3. The Minimum Requirement for graduation:
    (a) Students must pass the qualification assessment to become a Ph.D. candidate in the program.
    (b) Ph.D. candidates need to publish, as first author, 2~5 SCI or SSCI papers with a cumulative impact factor of ≧ 5.0.
    (c)  Recommendation from the thesis advisor(s) and graduation committee.
    (d) English proficiency test score over : IBT score 79-80 or PBT score 550 or CBT score 213.
